Leo “Scoop” Leeburn was a famous Boise-area photographer who captured many iconic Boise images. His photojournalism career started in 1943, and he took photographs up until his death in 2002 at the age of 81. His photos appeared in The Idaho Statesman. Leeburn has been labeled "the unofficial photographer-at-large," and "a Boise institution." His photographs show life in Boise in the 1940s from work to a variety of activities.
