This collection documents the growth, activities and history of the Sonoran Desert Foothills spanning the time period of the 1870s to the 1920s. Within this time span military operations, mining activity, sheep herding, pioneering and dude ranches have had a part at shaping the foothills area that brings us to our present day western flair town site offering small town hospitality. This collection of still images and documents also records the oldest original tubercular cabin in the state of Arizona -- and the last of its era.
