The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library meets the informational, recreational, educational, and cultural needs of the residents and property holders within Butte-Silver Bow, through access to a collection of a wide variety of materials, and through library services and programs. In the development of the collection, services and programs, both current and projected needs are considered. The library's goals are:

  • promotion of literacy
  • promotion of life-long learning
  • promotion of an awareness of current issues, concerns and events
  • stimulation of interest in current issues and concerns
  • inspiration of individual thought and inquiry
  • provision of quality recreational alternatives
  • serving as a community center and provision of free space for appropriate use by community members.
