Dean Arthur Heller (1960- ), a Nevada Republican, served as a Nevada State Assemblyman (1990-1994), as Nevada Secretary of State (1995-2007), and as a United States Congress representative (2007-2011).  Heller was appointed U.S. Senator for Nevada by Governor Brian Sandoval and elected to a full term in 2012, serving until 2018.
